Boathouse Row

“Boathouse Row” is located along the shores of the Anacostia River, by Water Street and M Street the North, the Anacostia River to the South, and is accessible from both.  It includes four historic boat clubs: the Eastern Power Boat Club (founded 1905), Washington Yacht Club (founded 1910), Seafarers Yacht Club (founded 1945), and District Yacht Club (founded c. 1955), and the Anacostia Community Boathouse. For more than 100 years, these four motorized boat clubs on historic Boathouse Row have been stewards of recreational boating, education, and River Cleanup on the Anacostia River. The hallmarks of each club have been inclusion, affordability, and community participation. The four clubs have been the de facto stewards of the Anacostia River for over a century, engaging with each other and the community.
